Early years…

My career began as an assistant at NBC News and The Today Show – crawling on my hands and knees (in a suit!) to slip updated scripts to the anchors during live segments. From there I moved to Viacom where I rose the ranks to eventually become Director of the MTV Home Entertainment group – a joint venture across Paramount, Sony and MTV.

Deep cuts…

While at MTV I forged strong relationships with independent record labels around the world and significantly reduced production costs by offering up-and-coming artists exposure to an enormous audience in exchange for favorable (but fair) licensing rates. Demand for my counsel and music supervision grew quickly among producers, networks and film makers in NY and LA looking to make their budgets go further.

Pump Audio

I left MTV to launch and co-found Pump Audio – the first ever, on-demand, music licensing platform. We built up a massive, diverse catalog and leveraged our proprietary technology to quickly become the leading independent music licensor in the world. In 2007 we sold the company to Getty Images for $42.5MM.

Side hustle…

Bonnaroo

Over an eight-year period I produced an annual compilation series for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Distributed to nearly a million festival attendees, the series featured tracks from Maroon 5, James Brown, John Mayer, The Lumineers, Dave Matthews, Kings of Leon, Allman Brothers, Norah Jones, My Morning Jacket, Ween, JJ Cale, Father John Misty, The Bad Plus, Patty Griffin, Los Lobos, Jack Johnson and many more.

The social scene…

Following the sale of Pump Audio I launched social agency MFN with focus on agile content production and strategy. I led business development efforts and established 300% YOY revenue increase with blue chip clients including American Express, Intel, Viacom & Amazon. Our IP included The Media Warehouse – an asset management platform white-labeled for AMEX.

Vehicular gastronomy…

As a passion project, I launched Lazy Dayz Artisanal using organic, local ingredients to create small-batch Ice Cream sold at a food truck and farmers’ market in Red Hook, NY. In addition to ice cream & cookie sandwiches, original flavors included Maple with Buttered Pecan, Sweet Summer Corn with Raspberry Swirl, and Pumpkin with Ginger and Five Spice.

Big game snacks…

In 2015 I was asked to lead a new content studio for The Trillions Co backed by Peter Guber, Chairman of Mandalay Entertainment. I was responsible for operational oversight and execution of cross-channel paid campaigns for leading clients. Highlights include production of “The Most Viral” Superbowl ad of 2016 for Ritz Crackers (AdAge 2/5/16).

Workforce development…

I was a founding board member of Stockade Works, a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the potential of film, television, media and tech in the Hudson Valley. Access and inclusion are at the core of our mission: we believe that every individual should have opportunities for quality, well-paying jobs with avenues for growth.

Stockade Works serves all people looking for employment and careers in the Hudson Valley, with a focus on those members of the community who have been locked out of employment and training opportunities, particularly women, people of color, veterans and those who are underemployed.

Communications Marketing…

As a global production lead at Edelman, I maintained operational oversight of production scopes across a broad portfolio, building integrated teams and guiding award-winning campaigns for clients including Unilever, TJX, Pepsi, Campbells, The Special Olympics, and Ajinomoto.

I developed operational targets, implemented systems & tools, drove culture and led production DEI policy for North America as part of the studio leadership team. I oversaw the development and launch of a new offering “The Creator Bench” serving brands in all categories with micro-influencer strategy, and a bespoke bench of content creators. As an advocate for sustainable production that goes beyond green and carbon counting; I led production of the first truly regenerative ad for TAZO Tea. Additionally, I oversaw resource allocation and integrated campaign execution – including influencer and celebrity supported – across social, experiential, digital and broadcast campaigns, globally.

Change Management & Transformation…

In 2023 I joined IPG as EVP, Executive Director of Production and led the consolidation of disparate production units following the merger of a number of agencies under the new IPG Health banner.

Following a comprehensive listening tour, I developed a phased approach to transformation that kept empowerment of our people at the forefront of every decision. We stood up a new, centralized business unit with standardized systems and workflow while identifying and leveraging the best tools and process from across the network, and launching new initiatives designed to maximize efficiencies and fiscal responsibility. Our new unit provides increased opportunities for innovation and growth to the benefit of our people, our clients and their brands for years to come.
